Why buying fitness books is a waste of money and time

There is a new fitness book. After about a year the same book has a new version – extended and revised. It all seems great and sexy but as always there is a little story behind the scenes, a little something that makes it all work, a little secret that starts the engine, a little hidden truth that nobody wants you to know because if you know it problems occur and nobody likes problems - we all want to just collect our paychecks, as fast as possible. The Bigger. The Better.

It's true, fitness books contain useful information. You can learn a lot regarding training and you can definitely improve thanks to a fitness or strength book. While all of that is true every training manual out there fails miserably in the long run because it is incomplete, misleading and unnecessary over-complicated just to cause paralysis by analysis.

Sure, you can learn the fine points of squatting and deadlifting from a book and later apply them in your training but in the end of the day you still won't have the results of the glorified athletes those reading materials usually use as front cover. To this day there isn't a single book covering all the aspect of the iron game and there is always something missing and that little something is the base of the house. What is it?

The majority of the income generated by fitness and strength books comes from the newbies. They are willing to do whatever it takes to get that sexy body advertised by fitness models in movies magazines and homo sexual bars. Since we are used to learn everything from books it makes sense to buy one for that too. Despite all the reading, however, fitness books never produce results even close to the advertisements. How so? I thought knowledge was power.

The reason for that failure is of course the fact that fitness books, just like magazines, never discuss the issue of anabolic steroids. On the contrary, their authors want you to believe that training methods have evolved so much that you don't need needles in your ass in order to get as big as the men praised in those overrated materials. Nothing could be further from the truth since anabolic steroids have been the base of all strength sports and bodybuilding since the 1940s. Writers on strength and conditionning such as Mr. Mark Rippetoe, Mr. Pavel Tsatouline and, Mr. Dr. Layne Norton, Mr. Marty Gallagher can all continue to sell their books and come up with new and improved versions, IronGangsta.com couldn't care less. We want you, however, to know that it's all the same old recycled material that exploits the general low intellect and ignorance of beginners through cheap marketing tricks such as “milk & squats are better than steroids”, “mysterious Soviet muscle building tactics”, “Primitive training”...etc. You have to understand that the goal of those authors is to make money, FIRST. It has never been STRONG FIRST, it has always been MONEY FIRST.

Image via: http://www.careerattraction.com/

IronGangsta.com has no problem with people trying to make money. We all need it and we all work for it. However, remembering how it feels to try and try and try with little or usually no results at all, despite all the reading and secrets methods, is something that is hard to forgive and poor sources of "knowledge" are the ones to blame. Who is going to get me back all that wasted time and effort?

Like already said – fitness books could be useful if they were written in an honest way without the usual propaganda and lies. But this is never going to happen since there are plenty of suckers to cover for the ones that know how it all works. {you don't have to be very smart to know}

How many books can one write on squats, kettlebells, barbells...etc? By the looks of it - as many as the fanatics are willing to buy for Christmas.

Make sure that your fitness book and protein powder are the same color and don't forget to get your certification. {for ignorance}.

Life Goes On: Layne Norton Wins

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.

-Robert Frost

Today it became official – Mr. Dr. Layne Norton has won his battle against the CEO of Ice Cream Fitness Jason Blaha. {More}. For those of you who don't know a few months ago Mr. Jason Blaha accused Mr. Dr. Layne Norton of using illegal drugs such as anabolic steroids during his preparations for bodybuilding and powerlifting competitions. According to the official information in the media Mr. Dr. Layne Norton has spent over USD 24,000 on legal fees during the whole process. Some time ago IronGangsta.com would have written a much angrier intro than the one above. Today, however, we see no point in doing so.

There are certain things in life that make you feel like you are trying to break the wall with your head – in the end you are always the loser. One of those things is fighting against money. You can't win the fight against money. Money always wins because it has a larger following. Mr. Dr. Layne Norton and his egoistically driven lawsuit are a good example. USD 24,000 or so were spent on an accusation made on YouTube.com. There are countries where in order to earn that kind of money you have to work for years but in this case we have big corporate supplements companies ready to cover the losses in order to make even more cash.

The goals seem to justify the means, as always.

Big money is always made by taking little and sometime not so little from average people who work 10 hours or more every day just to be alive. There are no exceptions to this rule – TV stars, Hollywoods stars, Rock stars, bodybuilding stars, cigarette companies, drug dealers – all of them make money by taking a little bit from ordinary people every single day. This is something that will never change and should be looked at as a constant factor, similar to the way people treat things like death and aging – no way to escape. The fact that supplement companies will continue to present IFBB pros as natural bodybuilders using anabolic steroids is also one of those things. IronGangsta has been informing its readers about similar issues since the start but we don't expect the injustice to stop in this lifetime. Our fight is sort of like Bill Maher's fight against religion. {More}

Life will go on and people will continue to buy protein powders (food for pigs), creatine (expensive urine), amino acids...etc in the hope to get shredded and big and fill emotional voids. In the meanwhile the muscle magazines will forever use the image of steroids addicts to sell their goods to the new suckers born every minute. During the process well connected lawyers will continue to get their fat checks for finding loop holes day after day.

IronGangsta.com does not have a solution to this problem. We can tell you what we consider to be the truth but it all ends there and the fitness world is just a small example of the corrupt world we are all part of and to which we all contribute consciously or not. There are no saints on this planet. There will never be.

In just a few words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it's a “bitch” and it goes on.

“gangsta” version of Robert Forst's quote.

P.S. Mr. Dr. Layne Norton has written in his official report that fans of Mr. Jason Blaha have threatened the family of the former. We can't possibly know if that's true or not but just in case we recommend that you read this article.

Money Is Hidden In Supplements

Like I said previously in this post money won in bodybuilding contests is really not very impressive. The real financial benefits for bodybuilders and other people involved in the "muscle" industry are hidden in the supplement business. That's what makes the bodybuilding world turn. Without supplements there will be almost no money in the sport and many professional bodybuilders, fitness athletes, crossfit athletes...etc will have to find another source of income. There is a reason why every retired bodybuilder tries to launch his supplement line which is of course the same thing but with different packaging.

This is why bodybuilding supplements are so in your face. Don't fall for this crap and stay away from supplements unless you want hypocrites and people without morals and principles to get real rich from you.

The "natural" bodybuilders are also making supplements look like magic pills when their real secret are anabolic steroids. Guys like the person in the video below are a living proof that supplements are pointless and the only way to make "gains" presented by the popular "natural" bodybuilders is to inject synthethic hormones in you.

Layne Norton With Gynecomastia !

Today I found a few photos which will be proudly added to the evidence proving that Layne Norton should change his name to Liar Norton.

We proudly present Layne Norton, ultra-natural bodybuilder and his gynecomasita a.k.a bitch tits. Observe the nipples of this protein-powder-only bodybuilder. There are clear signs of gynecomastia - not to be confused with man boobs due to being fat.

Gynecomasita is a breast tissue formation caused by usage of anabolic steroids and the hormonal imbalances that come with it.

Layne Norton And Steroids - Life Built On Lies

Recently I received a message which was quite similar to a death threat because I said Layne Norton was not a natural bodybuilder. Of course, it was all a joke but it gave me a good topic to write about today - Layne Norton - the natural liar.

Layne Norton is not natural since he is exactly 26 pounds over his natural bodyweight at contest shape. Yes, exactly - Layne Norton would be 170 pounds at most if he was natural. Since he is not natural and is using anabolic steroids Layne Norton gets to be 196 lbs at 5'10 on stage and 230lbs 10% BF during the off-season. Unheard numbers for a natural. To give you a simple point of reference Serge Nubret was 200 at 6' and the was far from natural. Only an ignorant person would fall for the scientific storm shit produced by Layne Norton regarding his natural status and way of training.

One of the reasons why Layne Norton claims he is natural is the need to make money out of it - by selling pipe dreams and pushing products to ignorant people. Layne Norton is not only not natural but his genetics are even below average when it comes to building muscles - one of the reasons he is so bitter. His body structure is awful and been even on juice cannot hide the fact. Another reason why he claims natural status.

Layne Norton - Natural Liar

AAS User

Frank Zane, well known bodybuilder and abuser of steroids, competed at 185 lbs/5'9/4-5% BF and looks much better due to having better structure and response to drugs

Lies, Lies, Lies....in the world of iron they never end

I just watched a video of an amazingly strong man - CT Fletcher. I am not going to lie - this guy is much stronger that I would ever be. So, I don't question his strength at all - he is brutally strong. However his claims that he is natural made me sad for two reasons.

1. Many people would believe him and would think that it's actually possible to bench press that much weight while not being super fat. No it's not possible. Truth being told there isn't a single lifter out there that holds any kind of world record and is 100% natural. Not a single one. Why? Drugs can add a lot of pounds to your lifts, right? So, if I can have a world record naturally imagine the weight I would be able to lift if I was on hormones. Probably 100 pounds more. This is a ton more weight.

2. There is a misconception about what can be achieved naturally. There are all kinds of guys who claim natural and are at least on TRT. Virtually all of the guys you are likely to hear about did the stuff.

Examples:

This guy claims natural but he is on so much drugs you wouldn't believe. Skip La Cour - just another fucking liar.
Jim Cordova - natural? Of, course. As natural as sex between animals and humans.

Jeff Willet - all natural if you don't count the     drugs.

Layne Norton - natural born liar

Herschel Walkers - this guy claims he eats one meal a day and does only body weight. Best troll in the "muscle world". I hope you know by now that he is on drugs. Hint: look at traps. Black guy genetics you say? Ok. Have a nice day.

Lies, lies they never stop. The main reason why so many people claim natural is to attract people because we all like to believe in pipe dreams. If PEDs are removed all those natural stars would look like a man selling newspapers on the street. Don't believe me? Wait and see.

A true natural bodybuilder looks closer to this:

This guy is Kazuyuki Miyata and is actually a fighter but really good example. Here he is 5'7 and 146 lbs. This is about as ripped and as big it gets for an average person naturally at his height.

He may have used something to get cut. I don't know but his physique is 100% achievable naturally.

Sorry. I would like lies to be true but they are not.

Another example is the gymnast Jordan Jovtchev - 5'4 135lbs. He is a little top heavy and his legs are smaller because he is a gymnast but this is about as much muscle as you can hold naturally at his height and bodyfat levels. Most gymnast are drug free. The more technical the sport the biggest possibility for an athlete to be natural.

Funny how all naturals are outside of the iron sports. Why would that be? The cool thing is that if you actually get to your potential naturally - YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY with your accomplishment. No doubt about. No doubt.
