Is It Drugs Or Genetics?

There are a lot of athletes involved in the sport of “natural” bodybuilding and fitness who like to claim that the majority of their success and domination is due to “superior” genetics for building “quality” muscle mass and maintaining low body fat percentage. Is this really the case ? Do they really have “God given genetics ?”

“Natural” bodybuilders such as Dr. Layne Norton, Jeff Seid, Matt Ogus, The Hodge Twins...etc like to attribute their success in the muscle world to the same old factors: good genetics, consistent training and “solid” nutrition. Similar claims are not surprising since admitting usage of illegal drug products would be an action that may cost them a lot of financial benefits while causing potential trouble with the state authorities, depending on the country you live in. Who would do that ? The option to hide behind the genetics card seems to be much more convenient and much more profitable in the end of the day.

Truth be told most of those guys mentioned in the above paragraph have average genetics like you and me. If you look at some before photos you see a regular male who transform himself into smaller version of Hulk. At the same time the majority of the people who follow the routines of those same muscle Gods usually never reach similar success – not even close. When that happens the usual response of the “superior” individual would be:

“Sorry, I have great genetics and you don't. I rock. You suck.”

How would that make you feel? Like a loser? Well, don't worry! The truth is that the person insulting you like that has one very simple secret:

“Eat Clen Tren Hard !”*

A good example in this situation would be the famous idol of the youth - Aziz Shavershian a.k.a Zyzz who was aspired to achieve a great physique – “No Matter What !” Zyzz was able to transform himself from an average weak teenager into a muscle monster. Take a look:

Obviously the boy in the before picture does not show any signs of “having God given genetics”. However after many steroid cycles Zyzz became an Internet sensation and role model for others thanks to his new great physique and somewhat narcissistic and eccentric personality.

This is how powerful anabolic steroids are. In case you are not convinced please read the following post as well:Best Detransformations In Bodybuilding. Of course all of this does not mean that genetics are not important - they are essential ! Muscle shape is something that cannot be changed. For example some people have short arm flexors (biceps) and therefor larger “biceps peaks” while there are also individuals who were born with long biceps and therefor have smaller biceps peaks. (More on that subject can be found here.)

Genetics are also very important when it comes to handling the side effect of anabolic steroids. Some people experience much worse problems caused by the usage of similar substances. Beyond that everything is pretty much speculation and the “genetic card” seems to be used as an answer to everything. It's not !

Of course there is another side to every story and it's obvious that some people seem to be more gifted when it comes to creating a “sexy” body but there is more to genetics than just – physical aesthetics. Will Smith, who is an extremely successful man by today's standards and values, has a famous quote:

“Being realistic is the most common path to mediocrity.”

This is another scam that “successful” people like to throw at the “peasants”. If you read the autobiography of Will Smith you will see that a lot of his success had to do more with luck and favorable circumstances than hard work. He was a millionaire before reaching 20 years of age but was soon close to bankruptcy after spending the majority of his money without giving much thought. He was able to bounce back up with the hit TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The show was successful because it was built around the natural charisma of the actor which is as you know “genetic”.

The idea is that if Will Smith did not have the looks, the charisma and the sense of humor his success would have not been possible. Couple that with being born in America and having the right contacts and you have a recipe for money making machine. 99% of the factors that were just mentioned have nothing to do with hard work but more with the way you were born. Do you think that Will Smith would have been a movie star if he was born in Africa? Probably not, at least not a Hollywood movie star. Will Smith's case is a perfect example that in order to succeed you need both – the right genetics to make in your industry as well as the motivation and favorable fortune to be in a place allowing you to express and develop your true character. How many are born with that chance?

It seems that today people are too lazy to think for themselves. Media, TV, Hollywood, modern music, fairy tales...etc have caused an extreme damage to the critical thinking of the society. We tend to believe in highly unrealistic goals and phenomenons. Actually “the man” wants us to believe that the sky is the limit and all you need to do is “work hard” and "you will too achieve your dreams." Well, please, tell that to the Chinese workers in Foxconn who work day and night at the factory plants of Apple. It seems that hard work has failed for them because none of them is happy or rich.

Truth be told that's how the rich get richer – by selling the wrong formula to the “little people”. The very same process is observed in the muscle industry – steroid using athletes tell teenagers and adults that the secret to success is – taking your supplements, training hard and eating well. Power that with good amounts of old cliche quotes, preferably from the books of Paolo Coelho, and you have a recipe for hard working employees who are the ones  making rich people richer.

Genetics are obviously extremely important because our genes define who we are. There are many types of genes some of which are not really physical traits. Obviously nobody chooses the following: gender, family, height, zodiac sign...etc but there are also other genetic factors such as: time and place of birth. Similar “specifications” have already made a lot of choices for us. Obviously somebody who is 5'1 tall will never be the new Michael Jordan. It's impossible to happen. For that reason this person will most likely not play basketball on professional level – choice already predetermined by his/her genes. When it comes to the muscle industry it's quite similar. However since extreme hypertrophy is impossible to happen without high concentration of muscle building hormones everybody who looks like a model from a muscle magazine is abusing large amount of drugs. Some may use less, some may use more but in the end of the day, regardless of good or bad genetics, all muscle Gods look like an average person without their magic elixir.

*”eat clen, tren hard” - this is a popular urban phrase which is a purposely misspelled version of “eat clean, train hard” and is meant to describe the idea that many are using illegal drugs such as Trenbolone (tren) and Clenbuterol (clen) in order to achieve their physical goals instead of doing it the legal way – by Eating Clean And Training hard.

The Placebo Effect And Supplements

Bodybuilding supplements have been around since the very beginning of the “sport”. Initially the idea behind muscle building elixirs was started by Joe Weider who many people consider the Father Of Bodybuilding. Of course, like it happens quite often, bodybuilding supplements are nothing more than poor products in a shiny packaging backed up by powerful marketing and advertisements. All of that is still true to this very day. Question is:

Why are people buying supplements despite their miniscule effects ?

One of the answers is : Placebo !

Placebo is a simulated or otherwise medically ineffectual treatment for a disease or other medical condition intended to deceive the recipient. Sometimes patients given a placebo treatment will have a perceived or actual improvement in a medical condition, a phenomenon commonly called the placebo effect. (Wikipedia)

The powerful muscle men who advertise different supplement lines, the well directed advertisement as well as the extremely unrealistic claims on the labels actually make many people believe that the magic powders are working and really helping you achieve “the physique you've always dreamed of”.

Imagine that your father gave you something special as kid – a watch, medallion, ring...etc and told you that you will always be stronger when you wear it. If you love your father and consider him an important part of your life chances are you will fall for that especially as a child. People are not machines. We have emotions and similar “tricks” do work on us. The same stays true for supplements in which you want to believe because after all “ if it's working for them it should work for me, I am a human too”. The companies actually do count on that thinking and their ultimate goal is to make you certain that they have the secret formula leading to “the body you always wanted” and the only way to achieve it is by using their products since “our busy lifestyle does not allow us to get enough essential nutrients and therefor hardcore lifters need powders”.

In case you don't know there is a lot of money involved in the supplement business. When there is money involved in the game – there are always lots of scams and unwritten rules. For example there are many studies sponsored by producers of supplements. In other words the sellers are sponsoring studies meant to prove the effectiveness of the fancy products you see on the shelves. When you couple fake research with support and advertisement coming from the muscle Gods you can actually make some serious profit when you target the right audience – in most cases people between 16 and 30 who try to “get the most out of life”.

Well, it works.

Truth be told bodybuilders don't count on fancy powders to built their muscle mass. In order for serious body transformation to occur they use anabolic substances such as steroids, growth hormone and insulin. Many high level muscle men don't even use supplements – not even protein powders or creatine ! They just consider them ineffective or even useless. At the same time pretty much all bodybuilders advertise similar products because advertisement of Trenbolone like drugs does not make you money and is obviously illegal.

Many bodybuilders consider egg yolks and lean fish a much better source of protein than whey powder that quite often just makes you produce more CH4 but since there are retired bodybuilding legends on the cover and companies “have made detailed research” in order to come up with the “best product” customers desperately want to believe that magic is going to happen when they ingest the miracle elixir which is often just a mix of whey (many people use whey as exclusive food for pigs) and sugar (many weight gainers contain tons of sugar). If you really like that you can keep spending your money on fancy bottles with semi-naked men and women on the label. In the meanwhile real food is waiting in the supermarket for less money. Unfortunately, there are no muscle men on the labels.

Probably that is the problem, or is it ?

Is Ulisses Williams Jr. Truly Natural ?

There are many people who prefer to be naive and believe that all you need to achieve the physique in the picture below is “good training and sound nutrition”. We don't blame the "ignorant" people out there since the majority of the fitness magazines actually have so little integrity that even bodybuilders like Ronnie Coleman are presented as clean athletes or in other words competitors who don't use illegal drugs to enhance their muscular development. IronGangsta was one of those people – so I don't judge. There is a very easy way to determine if a certain physique is natural or not. You can use IronGangsta's guide: How to Spot a Fake Natural or simply compare the physique of the “victim” to the one of obvious and proven steroid user. According to the information on the Internet Ulisses Jr. has the following “body stats” :

Age: 35 ;
Height: 5’10″ – 178 cm ;
Weight: 210 lbs – 95 kg ;
BF – his body fat levels do not look more than 7% (if that) ;

Now let's do a little comparison between Mr. Ulisses Jr. and Mr. Serge Nubret.

As you can see it turns out that today natural bodybuilders are bigger or just as big as former IFBB professionals and Mr. Olympia contenders who are also WELL KNOWN STEROID ABUSERS.

Imagine that two companies have fairly similar products competing in the same price range and class. Do you think a high end Ferrari with similar characteristics to a correspondent model from Lamborghini will cost 50% less ? No, way. You just don't make a quality Ferrari without lots of financial resources. You also don't get to have the physique of a professional bodybuilder from the Golden Era by eating clean and training hard. Now, you if spell the last few words "wrong:" “eat clen, tren hard” you may get a little closer.

True-Natural-Bodybuilding.com - Try Again ! You Are Not Natural !

This web-page is dedicated to "natural bodybuilding" but of course the reality is much different. The model on that site is not natural, not even close and his purpose is simply to make money from his web-site and training principles. However he is a poster boy for steroid usage and is so far from "true natural bodybuilding" that even little kids should know he is a fraud. How do I know ?  Well, you are about to see. Read on !

"Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth." - Mahatma Gandhi

As you can see according to this guy this is how a "true natural bodybuilder" looks next to an IFBB Pro Dennis James who was a Mr. Olympia contender for many years. You think a "true natural bodybuilder" will look like this next to a top professional bodybuilder taking grams of steroids, growth hormone and what not ? Honestly, pictures like that are almost an insult.

Here is what this true natty has to say about steroids:

"What I don't like is all the hypocrisy and lies about drug use. However, I understand that most bodybuilders don't want to admit their drug use because it is illegal after all, and it's not really cool to admit that most of your muscles are the result of drugs rather than good genetics, proper diet and hard training."

"I love to watch the top professional bodybuilders. I love to watch contest and training videos. I have been at the Mr. Olympia contest in 1997, the Musclemania Wold Championships in 2007, and I am dreaming to go once to the Arnold Classic. I love to work out in gyms where there are many big, muscular, strong man training in the hard core fashion, because it creates a motivating atmosphere. Several of my friends are doped bodybuilders. I respect everybody's choice to be a true natural bodybuilder or not."

So, Mr. True Natural Bodybuilder is a hardcore bodybuilding fan, has many friends taking drugs, looks super big, has lean 20 inches arms and yet he decided to stay "natural" ?

Yes, it makes perfect sense.

Mr. True Natty, please, the next time you claim you are 100% true lifetime natural bodybuilder make sure you tell it to a bunch of 10-15 year old kids which will probably believe you. We ain't that stupid and ignorant. Try harder. We all know you are as natural as this guy:

How To Spot A Fake Natural Bodybuilder - IronGangsta's Guide

Since the very beginning IronGangsta has been informing its readers about all fake natural bodybuilders out there. But how do you spot a fake natural bodybuilder ? There are many guides out there and we beleive that IronGangsta mush have one as well !

The easiest way to spot a fake natural bodybuilder is to analyze his weight to height ratio while taking into consideration the body fat levels of the "athlete".

Example:

If someone is 200lbs/6'1 while being 5-8% body fat it's quite unlikely for him/her (haha..) to be natural. You can see the general guidelines for natural bodybuilders outlined below. Keep in mind that the weight listed comes with 5% BF (really hard to maintain and achieve without killing somebody around you or simply being a crazy/dedicated person on a very strict diet).

5'11  177
5'10  170
5' 9   163
5'8    154
5'7    147

For every inch of height below or above 5'10 you add/remove 7 lbs. This is the maximum muscle a natural bodybuilder who is really dedicated and has favorable genetics for bodybuilding as well as lifestyle able to support such life (strict diets, less stress...etc) will ever achieve. Most people would be pretty happy with such physique. Of course the magazine, YouTube...etc ave made many lifters overestimate what kind of physique you can actually achieve without taking drugs, hormones and other drugs.

Let's take a look at some fake "natural" bodybuilders:

Jeff Seid

Note: Jeff Seid is a few years older now but this does not make him more "natural".

As you can see Jeff Seid is 10 pounds over his "natural weight" at the age of 17.  While 10 pounds do not seem like a lot you have to keep in mind that the numbers listed above are only for natural bodybuilders much older that 17 who have been training for years. In order to illustrate this even better please look at the following picture.

6' tall and 200lbs heavy

The guy in the picture is Serge Nubret and this photo is taken at Mr. Olympia 1975. According to Serge himself he was 200lbs and 6' at that competition. He finished second. If Jeff Seid is telling the truth about his bodyweight he is only about 10-15lbs less than a Mr. Olympia contender from the 70s. The difference is 5 lbs but we add 10lbs because most likely Serge Nubret was heavily dehydrated during Mr. Olympia 1975 while Jeff Seid is not. When you keep all that information into consideration it becomes that obvious Jeff Seid is as natural as Serge Nubret.

Note: Some people have also reported that Jeff Seid is usually making himself taller than he actually is. Sweet.

You say "good genetics" ? Try harder we are not that stupid.

Josh Hyaduck

Josh Hyaduck is another fake natural bodybuilder. He is only 5'6 tall but weights 186 at very low body fat. Frank Zane who was a well known steroid abuser and Mr. Olympia title holder competed at the weight of 185lbs at 5'9. I think it is safe to make the conclusion that Josh Hyaduck is as natural as Frank Zane.

Obviously the above method is quite easy but there are also other ways to spot a fake natural bodybuilder.

This is a picture of the famous Lazar Angelov. Take a look at his shoulder, face and overall thickness. Natural bodybuilders will never ever have full shoulders especially at such low body fat. Second, his body looks so dry and thick it's not even funny. Very hard look to achieve naturally.

Below is an even better example of a thick, "shredded" and dry body on steroids.

This is Ben Noy, another fitness model

Achieving the above muscle separation and level of leanness is pretty much an impossible task to achieve with just clean eating and lifting weights. If you want to try anyway say goodbye to lots of time and money only to fail.

Another think you have to take into consideration when you are wondering whether someone is natural is the source of his/her financial income. For example the majority of the fitness models and bodybuilders out there make most of the money through contracts with supplements companies, magazine covers...etc.

Obviously if an athlete is making money through the mentioned scheme he/she won't benefit at all if everybody knew he/she was using anabolic substances to achieve “them gains”. Drugs are not well tolerated by the media and people using them are considered “cheaters”. To an extend they are because they cheat the public and mainly their followers.

Look at the number of people who liked the Facebook page of Lazar Angelov – as of now it is something like 930 000. The reason for is the fact that many people aspire to look like that and believe they can actually achieve similar muscular development naturally. Obviously everybody has different motivation but the majority of men would like to look like Lazar in order to attract the attention of women. Show a picture of Lazar to 10 women and while some won't approve they will all be willing to test him for one night. Now if you tell all that 930 000 or so people that pretty much all professional fitness models are not lifetime natural bodybuilders the interest will drop because suddenly everybody will realize that the sacrifice they have to make in order to look like their heroes is much larger and the consequences are much more serious. The interest will drop pretty fast and the supplements sells will go down as well.

Who would want that ?

My Take On Jason Blaha

IronGangsta received an e-mail asking whether the advice of Jason Blaha (ICE Cream fitness) is useful. I've watched a couple of his videos and I don't see what's wrong with his advice. He seems to provide good knowledge to his subscribers while also informing them about the extreme usage of steroids in the sport of bodybuilding. Blaha has no problem admitting that he is not natural and uses a lot of drugs in order to improve his squat, bench and deadlift numbers.

Jason's body  can pass as natural 9 times out of 10. Hell, even I will have hard time giving him the steroid award. He does not look much different than your average chubby uncle!

P.S. We are all free to listen to anybody. However before following any advices think for yourself and decide on your own!

The Truth About Christian Thibaudeau

Christian Thibaudeau is one of the many guys out there who are starting to accumulate very bad karma because of the hundreads of lies they sell to poort teenagers. Guys like him have basically selling their soul to the supplement devil. He is a drug addict and is using all kinds of anabolic steroids. Thibs is one of those "natural guys" who respond so bad to steroids that they need to claim natural. Of course he also has be small enough to keep fools believing he is natural so that T-Nation can sell overpriced urine and fart a.k.a supplements.

Christian Thibaudeau is 5'9 (probably more like 5'7.2 but since he has Napoleon complex he claims 5'9) and his body weight is 200 lbs at 5% BF. The famous bodybuilder Frank Zane was 5'9 and 185 pounds. He was Mr. Olympia three times. So, Mr. Natural has 15 pounds of LBM on Frank Zane and still claims "natural". Makes perfect sense. Mr. Christian Thibaudeau likes to inform everybody that he cannot take steroids due to heart problems. At the same time he is as big as many well known "juicers".

If you want to know how much stuff Christian Thibaudeau is taking watch this video of Bostin Loyd. Christian Thibaudeau uses about the same amount, give or take...

“Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can't get away with screwing people over your whole life, I don't care who you are. What goes around comes around. That's how it works. Sooner or later the universe will serve you the revenge that you deserve.”

Why Muscle Growth Fails To Happen

I am not very gifted when it comes to building big muscles. That's why I had to try all kinds of training methods just to fail every time. Nothing worked for me - high reps, low reps, light weight, heavy weight, medium weight, supersets, drop sets, pre-exhaustion. You name it, I've done it all - probably more than once.

After years of failure I came to the conclusion: everyone who is somewhat decent/impressive looking is on steroids. It may sound like loser's mantra but to this very day I was never wrong when it comes to detecting guys on steroids. Every time I thought someone is on steroids I was right. Every single time. And I am not talking about Ronnie Coleman or Jay Cutler - I am talking about the everyday warriors I see in the gyms I've visited over the years. Today for example I added one more number to the successful list. A guy in my gym who was frequently training legs with stupid weights like 180 pounds squats, 100 pounds lunges and 150 pounds Romanian deadlifts came out and said he was on winstrol and deca. To me this was not a surprise because his legs were enormous despite the light weights and he was also holding tremendous amounts of water weight. This very same guy, although impressive for the average gym, could pass for natural any day on YouTube where ignorant teenagers and insecure young male adults sucking to Arnold think it's all about: lifting heavy and eating right.

But let's go back to the topic: Why muscle growth fails? Muscle growth fails because of the average hormonal profile. In other words the average level of male hormones allow only so much muscle to be built. And we are actually talking about something like 20-25 pounds on top of your no trained bodyweight, and that's generous. Training can make your muscles somewhat thicker and bigger but after a very short period the magic goes away. Of course if your lower back can deadlift 500lbs it will be thicker than the non-trained version of YOUR lower back which deadlifts the newspaper. However in terms of actual volume - that's a different story. The difference will not by as insane as you would think. For example, my calves are small but I have no doubt that I can lift more weight on the calve machine than my father who has big calves.

To this day nobody can truly explain "hypertrophy". In my opinion the researches dedicated to the topic are too "dirty" since they are sponsored by supplement companies who have financial profits in mind. Hypertrophy is this mystic process that makes your muscle bigger. Scientist would like you to believe that they got it all figured out but right now the number of skinny guys in the gym is higher than ever. Something must be wrong. Why people fail to look like the Hodge Twins after years of training? Black man genetics? Give me a break.

Muscle growth fails because it's physically impossible after a certain point. It's just not natural. The same way it's not natural to grow taller every year. Eventually it has stop. "Causing micro traumas in your muscles" can only do so much. After that you have to jump on the harmonized train. Kinda sad when you think about it.

A lot of people will come to you with "the perfect routine". They can all suck it. Yes, I've written routines but they are just examples that somewhat worked for me. I don't think there are magic routines. After all most routines have the same moto "add weight when you can and step back when you feel you have to."

What to do?

Well, you can jump on the hormone train to get bigger. The other option I usually recommend to gym warriors suffering from depression caused by poor muscle gains is to simply set a physical goal such as 20 pull-ups by Christmas, bodyweight bench press by my birthday...etc. By setting a goal and achieving it you will feel much better than crying in the dark that you have not added an inch you your arms following Mr. I-am-on-steroids-but-I-will-deny-it-cause-I-am-a-big-insecure-monkey's routine.

Here is a video where you can see people who are 100% natural:

Unrealistic Expectations

Pretty much 90% of the training articles out there are presenting unrealistic expectations. Natural wannabes thinking they are different are constantly reading articles coming from people like Louie Simmons, T-Nation, Mark Rippetoe, Marty Gallagher, Pavel Tsatouline...etc. While all of those people are obviously 100% dedicated to their "craft" similar articles create bad habits and never reveal the real secret.

The truth is that whether your goal is to get strong or big and reach the lifts and muscular development of the people presented in the articles you have to do much more than "eat big and lift big." You have to use gear and taking anabolics is not a game. In most countries it's hard to find good steroids without prescription and going to the black market is like going to the black market - you are getting closer to the criminal world and the guy selling testosterone shots and "real" anavar or trenbolone may be selling cocaine and other fancy stuff. Let's put that away and say that you have found a good dealer selling quality steroids at the "right" price. What's next? What should you buy and how much should you take? That's usually not included in the articles.

┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

It's funny how authors like to throw numbers such as 500 pounds bench press, 600 pounds squat and 800 pounds dealift in their articles but never mention how you actually get there. What takes you there is consistent training, dedication, nutrition and a lot of drugs. How much drugs? Well, you have to think in grams here. I know a guy who had the following training history - he trained for 10 years naturally and was able to bench press 365 pounds. I don't remember his bodyweight. He started using anabolics and at some point he was injecting 2 grams of compound steroids a week. He was benching 405 pounds on the decline for 13 reps and claimed 565 bench press max on the decline bench press.

┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Did reality hit you? Yes, this guy was far above average. Most people including me have never benched 365 pounds. He did so naturally and still needed 2 grams of consistent steroid usage (he did not go off even when he wanted to have a second child and just took some other drug, I forgot the name of, and got his wife pregnant) to bench 565 pounds.  Pretty sad story to the people who though that 405 bench press was just around the corner using Rippetoe's programming. Maybe if you bulk to 280-300lbs it's possible. Sorry I am not sorry, Mr. Rippetoe.

┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Mr. Rippetoe himself is a good example - he never even benched 405 at a bodyweight of 220 and 5'9 height. He was also on anabolics during his powerlifting career. His best bench (396 lbs) while impressive is nothing compared to his huge claims. How much gear was he using? I have absolutely no idea but it was not 200 mg.

┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

300 mg of testosterone is considered a small steroid dose. Some people would even laugh at it. Hell, there are some rich grand daddies using that for HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy). But let me tell you, 300mg of testosterone a week equals about 10 times more than the natural testosterone production of an average not so old male. Sounds like a big deal to me. Anyway I knew a guy with some decent training history who was benching 175 lbs for 10-12 reps on the decline press. He started injecting 300 mg of testosterone a week and in 12 weeks added 20 pounds of bodyweight and his bench went up to 250lbs for 10-12 reps on the. This person gained 20 pounds of LBM by getting 10 times more testosterone in his body than the average male - I bet now people who claim gaining 50 pounds of muscle doing Rippetoe's magic routine look pretty funny. I would even say that most people would never ever gain 50 pounds of real muscle in a lifetime naturally.

┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

But who do you ask about drugs? Well, you either go to some underground steroid forum where you meet shady people or you simply ask shady strong guys in the gym - 11 times out of 10 all of them are on steroids unless they weight 300lbs. Usually the basic scheme goes like this - you find a good dealer and you start using small doses. Slowly you bump up the dose over the years until you are rolling with the big boys. During that period of time you will experience a lot of trouble with side effects, running out of money, addiction, family issues....etc. Once you are on steroids for a long time you will never go off unless you end up in prison or broke. Never. When you have been abusing steroids for years you simply do not have testosterone in your balls and without testosterone in your balls you feel like somebody has stolen your man pride - you feel like a woman and chances are you will start to look like one. Bodybuilders and powerlifters at some point start to see steroids as food - no life without them.

So, wannabes are welcome to come at me. Tell me how you benched 405 lbs at 15-17% BF when in reality you are 22% BF and on low doses of test. There are a lot of liars in this sport, a lot. I would say that 90% of  the "impressive" people on famous web-sites such as Bodybuilding.com are on steroids but very few are willing to admit it.

What is reality?

Reality is sad. Imagine that you were a little baby and your mom was telling you stories about being able to fly. Well, you can probably believe those stories as a kid but when you grow up you know that as a human being you can only fly using something like this:

Kiyoshi Moody - Fake Natural Bodybuilder

I just finished reading an interview with "natural bodybuilder" Kiyoshi Moody. He claims natural status but of course he is full of it. He competes at 5'10 and his bodyweight is 195 lbs. While the weight may not seem like a lot, especially if you have a background in permabulking a.k.a being 20% BF and thinking you are 10% BF, it actually is given the quality of the mass.

People deserve to know that you don't need compete at 250 lbs to be a steroid abuser. There are many little Asian lifters who weight 170 lbs at heights such as 5'5 to 5'9 and still use a lot of anabolics and look great. Never forget that Frank Zane was Mr. Olympia at 185 pounds.

The quality, the hardness, the thickness and the overall density of the muscle mass presented by this fake natural at this level of conditioning (4% BF) is unreachable naturally.

The funniest thing about this dude is the fact that in the off season he actually weights 175 lbs - 180lbs. In other words prior to a competition this "freak of nature" gains 20 lbs of muscle and loses fat. Of course this means only one thing - he starts juicing more intensely before a show. Mr. Natural also has a supplement store and promotes bodybuilding supplements. God only knows how many poor kids were screwed thinking they will get as huge as this guy by buying crap from his store.

The natural weight of this "freak of anabolics" at 6% BF is about 170lbs with much less thickness.

Kiyoshi Moody - you cannot lie to Irongangsta.com.

Why You Should Not Train Like Serge Nubret

Serge Nubret is a legendary bodybuilder known for his aesthetic physique and flawless conditioning. However, as all professional bodybuilders he was delusional and not honest with the "little kids". Truth be told Serge Nubret's training had very little to do with the way he looked. He was famous for doing high reps and insane amount of sets per body part - training pretty much the whole day since he also liked to do sit-ups for 2 hours each day as cardio. He also liked to boast about how he only ate horse meat which to me is a complete disrespect to an animal such as the horse but this is a different story. You should only follow his schedule if you want to fail as a bodybuilder, waist enormous amount of time and money.

Nobody grows from pumping light weights. The real secret of Serge Nubret is called negma parabolin which was a powerful anabolic steroid no longer produced in its original form. Serge Nubret loved this drug since it was one of the most effective "supplements" out there. He even imported it in the USA since all bodybuilders liked to share their magic elixirs. Here is a little post coming from a supposed training partner of Serge Nubret:

"Yep, its true, for the most part, surge and i use to do sit ups for hours non stop, he did 1600 of them one time and made his ass raw from it, he dieted very hard, was always hungry, we use to use izameride, a really clean meth, thyroid, and about 3 different anabolics, triacana, some of his stories about what he used and the amounts he used them in freaked me out, and i told him wow its a wonder you're alive, he just giggled, he was very committed and serious."

So, while I cannot stand behind the above quote 100% there is no doubt in my mind that pumping gets you nowhere. Every bodybuilder out there likes to think of himself as something special, some kind of unseen before specimen who should do everything different. However when it boils down to the true essence that represents the difference between an average fitness maniac and IFBB pro from the past or today it's not training, diet, supplements...etc. It is drug protocols and response to anabolics that make the difference.

Serge Nubret had way beyond average genetics when it comes to upper body and this made him one of the bodybuilders with the most unique physiques out there. There are a lot of people who believe there is a secret, mysterious way to train and once they see a new secret coming from guys like Serge they always buy it and start following the next moronic bodybuilding program presented by just another delusional narcissistic pathological lair which is pretty much every professional bodybuilder.

No, you will not grow naturally if you start following Serge's program - the only thing you will achieve is damage your personal life and get you further away from your true purposes in life due to spending too much time in the gym hoping for those miracle muscles to pop.

I've been there many times. I've done those mistakes many times and I am telling you - it only ends one way.

Is Hannibal For King Natural?

A few months ago somebody asked me in an e-mail whether Hannibal For King is natural and my answer was: "I don't know".

Some people probably could achieve a body like Hannibal's naturally. All you need is very good genetics, diet and training. However it is absolutely possible that Hannibal himself is not clean.

In some pics he looks like he had gynecomastia removal surgery. Gynecomastia (most common side effect of steroid usage) is basically growth of breast tissue due to hormonal imbalances in favor of the female hormone estrogen. It's common after abuse of steroids because when you end a steroid cycle your natural testosterone production is really low and it needs time to get back to normal. That's why for a certain period the estrogen levels are higher and you grow "bitch tits". People usually take some sort of estrogen inhibitor in order to avoid similar problems. However, it still happens even when using steroids like anavar which are supposed to be "gynecomastia free."

In this picture Hannibal's chest looks like it has undergone gynecomastia removal surgery - once you have gynecomastia you nipples are never the same. Of course you can have gynecomastia without ever using steroids but not at that age and the chances are really slim.

With that being said without knowing more details about Hannibal I cannot tell 100% whether he is clean or not. I do believe his level of development is achievable naturally for some but I will not be surprised if he has used anabolics.

Remember - famous people want you to see what they want you to see. A lot of times the "good genetics" of Mr. Beach Body are actually not so good.
